These breakways are made from trade secret formulas. They are non-toxic and recyclable. They are not made of sugar.
Can breakaways hurt or cut you? YES! The material is brittle, but the edges are still very sharp. Use common sense when using these products. Always take precautions to protect eyes from debris.
Break the object at it’s weak spot. In a bottle for example, the safest spot to break the prop is on the large side where the main label would be. It has no sharp edges and presents little resistance to breaking. Avoid the neck, as it has been made thicker for strength, and isn’t as brittle.
Use proper striking technique. When smashing a bottle against someone use a quick flicking action rather than a sweeping action, and never “crush” a prop into someone. Even the most fragile props can hurt someone if the prop is ground into someone. A tapping motion that rapidly retracts the remaining pieces away from the actor is the best method.
These bottles CAN HOLD LIQUID. You may want to put some thinned down blood mix in the bottle, 50 ml or so, for added effect!
We are very sorry, but any replacements on breakaways must be handled as a new order at your cost.
